  Weeping Willow

One of the great things that Bryce does is make great looking trees. But sometimes it can use a little help.

Let us say we are making a drawing of the southeast part of the U.S. and we wanted to add a weeping willow tree. We could just click weeping willow and we would get this tree.

That is not a good looking willow by many accounts. Let us try to make it a little better.

Open a new project and select the create tree symbol.

Next select the E for edit to open the tree tree lab.

Select "Mountain Ash" from the Tree Shape.

Change the Gravity to 100.

Change the Randomness to 100.

Set the Distribution to 10.

Set the Branches per Segment. On the Left side of the slider set it to 1. On the Right side of the slider, set it to 10.

Set the Segments. On the Left side of the slider set it to 10. On the Right side of the slider, set it to 13.

Set the Branch Start Angle to 70.

Set the Branch End Angle to 0.

Set the Trunk Thickness. On the Left side of the slider set it to 2. On the Right side of the slider, set it to 40.

Set the Branch Thickness. On the Left side of the slider set it to 48. On the Right side of the slider, set it to 50.

Set the Foliage to "Weeping Willow."

Set the Scale to 2.

Set the Number of Leaves to 6.

Set the Distribution to "Spiral."

Click the Check Box.

Render your picture.

Now this Weeping Willow is a little closer to what you'd expect.

Don't stop here. You can change settings and make each tree different.

Have fun! You don't even need a green thumb.
