Evaluation

This section of the quest tells you how your work is going to be evaluated (graded).  Its important to know this because then you will be able to know which are the really important bits of the project and how you can get good marks for those sections.

Storyboards

Trailer (10 marks)

The trailer storyboard needs well thought out and show how a trailer could be put together showing a variety of key scenes from the play.  This should well planned and be appealing to the potential audience.

Scene (15 marks)

The scene has more marks than the trailer because it should show:

  • how the scene develops.

  • the look of the production.

  • have well written and thought out descriptions.

Presentation

Presentation design (25 marks)

To get good marks in the presentation you need to show a variety of both IT and writing skills:

  • You should insert pictures where appropriate

  • Use appropriate fonts and background colours

  • Use slide animations while being consistent in their use.

  • Your writing should be clear and there shouldn't be too much of it on one slide.

  • The content of the presentation will also need to be well structured and clearly show how your version of MacBeth will be adapted.

  • The slides need to be logical in their order, so you may need to plan ahead to make sure of this.

  • The presentation should be interesting in its own right.

Presentation performance (25marks)

The actual presentation will be marked by:

  • Looking at how well planned it seems

  • Seeing how confidently it was delivered.

  • Whether you sold the idea of the film well in the pitch.

  • How well sections were linked together.

Teamwork

Group working (15 marks)

This section will be assessed by your production manager and they will give each person marks for how well they worked in the group.  These marks will come from:

  • Meetings that were held properly

  • Seeing how work was divided up in the group

  • Watching how people worked together

  • Seeing that discussions were conducted appropriately and didn't turn into arguments.

Individual assessment (10 marks)

This allows you to think about what you have done in this project and to award yourself some marks for all your hard work.  What you have to do is  give yourself the grades you think you deserve based on each of the three evaluation sections with reasons why and give them to the production manager.  They will then make sure that these assessments are honest and add your own score to the final mark.
