signature, and put the correct roman numeral under the chords. Draw an
arrow from the leading tone in the dominant triad to the tonic note of the

the key for each one. Write the key in the space above each excerpt. Draw
a rectangle around the tonic note in each excerpt every time it
occurs:


3) Determine the key of the following three excerpts.
Re-write each excerpt using a key signature instead of accidentals.
(NOTE: if any of these melodies are in a minor key, some of the
accidentals can be accounted for with a key signature, but other
accidentals may come from raised 6th and/or 7th tones, and will need to
