Improvising
in C
The following etudes are in the key of C; that means that they are derived from the C scale.
Practice the chords ( shown in Cowboy Chords); then try improvising over the chords. Remember that the chord notes are safe notes.
First try four note scales asending and decending.
Next mix up the notes.
First just do "licks", short movements of notes ovr chord then you can try for short melodies.
